Why We Started This
Take Your Stones Back began with a growing frustration; a holy dissatisfaction with the role men are playing in the church and in culture as many stand passively by and watch the retreat from the Biblical values that were once held high. Having been a pastor for the last 20+ years, I have watched men give up more and more of their responsibility while women rise up and take charge. I have watched as our culture—from the work place to our schools to our homes—has drifted further and further from the original values and principles on which this country was founded.
This men’s movement is a call to abandon the direction in which our culture is going and come back to a genuine, deep faith in God who has already designed men to be the leaders and guardians for our culture.
We are engaged in much more than a culture war; we are engaged in a spiritual war! We must have men who are confident in their God, convinced of their faith and committed to stand up for it. These men will be the warriors that will engage in the battle rather than stand passively by.
Biography
Lee Giermann has been a Pastor at Lake Sawyer Christian Church in Black Diamond for the last 11 years. Lee has been in the ministry for over 20 years moving from Tucson, Arizona to Washington 11 years ago.
Lee’s background is multi-faceted. In college he was a track athlete as well as a drummer in a rock and roll band with all of the “experiences” that go along with that.
Before entering the ministry, Lee was a high school teacher and coach; a manger of athletic clubs; and a real estate investor. Lee has been married for 24 years and even went through a divorce before he was a Christian. This diverse background gives him the ability to relate to men on many different levels.
The hallmark of Lee’s ministry is to present God’s word accurately and with as much application as possible. His goal is not to influence believers to just know more, but to actually live out their faith.
